Install the app
CAD and PCB in one app that works offline. It isn't signed, so your system asks before its first open.
There's no iPhone app yet. CAD and PCB above work in Safari.
Opening it the first time
- macOS
- Open the .dmg and drag Design to Applications. Open it, choose Done when macOS blocks it, then go to System Settings, Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway. On macOS 14 and earlier, Control-click the app and choose Open.
- Windows
- If SmartScreen says Windows protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway. CAD and PCB are then in the Start menu.
- Linux
- Opening the file doesn't install it. In a terminal, in the folder you saved it to, run
sudo dnf install ./design-desktop-*.rpm on Fedora, or sudo apt install ./design-desktop_*.deb on Debian and Ubuntu. CAD and PCB are then in your app menu. AppImage: chmod +x it and run it once, which adds them to the menu. Keep the AppImage where it is, or run it again after you move it.
- Android
- Open the APK. When Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps (Settings, Apps, your browser, Install unknown apps), then go back and choose Install.
